Does a Hospitality Mindset Really Make any Difference?
In private House Management, the difference is rarely one grand gesture. It is noticing what is missing, anticipating what comes next and creating a home that feels considered, comfortable and quietly cared for.
This is never a job to me. It’s like running hotels, it’s a lifestyle, not a job.
I treat every home as if it were my own… in the way that matters. I see what’s missing, and I see how it could be. I have a real passion for design, for gardens, for the way a space comes together… and I’m forever chasing better.
I notice the detail. The things that are there, and the things that aren’t. Then I quietly take the people and create the processes for what is needed… and I handle all of it for you.
Never in the way. Always across it.
In my years in premium hospitality, I learned to look for the intuitive touch point moments… the service you feel but you can’t name it. I led by culture, not systems. I delivered service to people, by people… only, backed up by process. And from that came everything that mattered: the service, the standard, the presentation… the care factor.
Because hospitality isn’t something you do. It’s who you are. The standard holds not because you’ve been taught… but because you care and it becomes second nature. I build a home where that care factor is simply the way things are.
So every home I manage doesn’t just look clean and presented. It feels right. Cared for, and comfortable. Lived in, not staged.
That’s the real difference. We don’t run houses. We create homes.

Questions owners ask
Why would I need a hospitality mindset for my house manager?
Because the detail, the touchpoints, the generosity of the service all come through… loud, clear and enjoyable. It’s the difference between a house that’s serviced and a home that’s considered.
What does a hospitality background actually bring to a private home?
An eye that anticipates. Years in luxury hospitality teach you to notice what’s needed before it’s asked… and to hold a standard because it’s second nature, not because someone’s watching.
Will it feel formal, like a hotel?
No, absolutely not. The thinking comes from hospitality, but the feeling comes from RMCo…It’s a home. Cared for, and comfortable. Lived in, not staged.
